So I've gotten a lot of questions to where and how I get my Japanese clothing, candy, make-up, ect. So, here's just an overview of how I try and stay cute and where to get these things.
Make-up/Beauty
I buy all of my makeup and beauty products on eBay, Korean and Japanese. These are the brands that i use!
- Etude House
- Canmake
- Holika Holika
- The Face Shop
- Candy Doll
Clothing
When i buy clothing I either get it directly from the site, Rakuten, Storenvy or using a shopping service (how to use this shopping service) . Try to avoid eBay cause it is usually overpriced. Here of some of my favourite clothing brands
- Liz Lisa (Rakuten, Storenvy, Shopping Service)
- Ank Rouge (Rakuten, Storenvy, Shopping Service)
- Forever 21 (Direct)
- American Apparel (Direct)
- Tralala (Rakuten, Storenvy, Shopping Service)
- Milklim (Storenvy, Shopping Service)
- Angelic Pretty (Storenvy, Direct, Shopping Service)
Plushies/Figures
Plushies and Figures aren't as hard to get as clothing is. You can get them at your local anime convention, Sanrio store, and China Town. I got these plushies from an anime convention, and from China Town in Calgary in a store inside the mall. As for the figures and props, i got them at various places like comic stores in my city and eBay. Remember if you can't find anything local, eBay, Amazon, Jlist and CDJapan are your best friend(s).
Candy
For candy, your local asian supermarket has got you covered. The T&T Asian supermarket in Edmonton is pretty good, and if you can't find a specific item the, eBay always has it!
Magazines
If you only want one issue, eBay is a good place to get it. It'll be expensive though, its usually $20 an issue. If you're a serious Japanese magazine fan like i am, You should try and subscribe to it using this site or Amazon, It'll save you tons of money! Magazine I like:
- Popteen
- Crayme
- Seventeen Japan
- Syrup
